How to Install PlayStation & Nintendo Emulator on iOS
In order to play any console games from PlayStation or Nintendo 64 on iOS device, you will need to download an emulator. There are a few available in the market but RetroArch App is the one that is highly recommended due to its compatibility.
Step 1: Check your iOS version. Make sure it is iOS 8, iOS 8.1, iOS 8.2, iOS 8.3, iOS 8.4 or any newer versions. Based on our own testing, RetroArch is not compatible with iOS 7.1.2 although there are some people claimed that it works.
Step 2: Make sure you are already jailbroken. See TaiG iOS 8.4 jailbreak guide if you haven’t. Once you are ready, Open Cydia.
Step 3: Tap on the Search button once your Cydia is completely loaded.
Step 4: Enter RetroArch and search for it. Tap on RetroArch once you see it from the Cydia apps list.
Step 5: At RetroArch page, tap on the Modify button (located top right) and then tap Install. You don’t need any special Cydia sources to install this app.
Step 6: Go back to homescreen and tap on RetroArch icon (black background) to launch it. Once the app is running, hit the Home button.
Step 7: Open Safari browser to search for the ROM of your desired game. Download all the game ROMs and you are ready to play.
Step 8: Back to the emulator, Tap on the Load Content button to load your game ROM.
Step 9: Select the ROM of the game you want to play and then select the emulator, for example, select Nintendo N64 emulator if you want to load Super Smash Bros ROM.
With RetroArch, you can play PlayStation and Nintendo N64 games on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
