iOS 9.3.1 Jailbreak Testing

Days ago, Apple has officially released the iOS 9.3.1. As usual, the first thing we come across in mind is the jailbreak for iOS 9.3.1. It is going to be risky if we use the latest iPhone 6S Plus to jailbreak. Therefore, we upgraded our iPhone 4S to iOS 9.3.1 and try to use Pangu and TaiG to jailbreak it. Below is the entire iOS 9.3.1 jailbreak test and result to download Cydia.

Before we begin the jailbreak for iOS 9.3.1, there is an error while upgrading the iPhone 4S from iOS 8.4 to iOS 9.3.1. The entire screen gone black during the update and when we turn on the phone again, the iPhone hangs at the “Connect to iTunes” page. It is very easy to restore it using iTunes. Unfortunately, the dock on the iPhone 4S is faulty and there is no way to restore it without iTunes. For those who see the same “Connect to iTunes” page after failed to upgrade iOS, the only way to restore the iPhone is to use iTunes. As for our case, we replace a new dock and everything works.

iOS 9.3.1 Jailbreak

Pangu Jailbreak iOS 9.3.1

Speaking about iOS 9 Jailbreak, Pangu is definitely the leader. It is by far the best jailbreak tool for iOS 9 as well as Apple TV Jailbreak. Although the official website stated the jailbreak tool is made for iOS 9.0-9.1, we download it and use it to jailbreak iOS 9.3.1. Just like How To Jailbreak iOS 9-9.0.2 With Pangu, we connect the iPhone 4S to a Mac, Disable Find My iPhone from Settings and start to jailbreak iOS 9.3.1. Everything run smooth until 75%, the iPhone flashes a few times and reboot a few times. The jailbreak for iOS 9.3.1 using Pangu is failed for now. We Googled, we YouTubed and found a few websites saying they are able to jailbreak iOS 9.3.1. As a result, it is proven they are all fake.

PS: You can download Pangu App to your iPhone or iPad to receive the latest jailbreak update. In other words, you will be informed once the jailbreak for iOS 9.3.1 is released.

iOS 9.3.1 Jailbreak with TaiG

In iOS 8, TaiG is the best iOS 8.4 Jailbreak tool. There are people who jailbreak iOS 9.1 successfully with TaiG. Thus, we have chosen TaiG jailbreak tools as the second option to jailbreak iOS 9.3.1. After going through some Cydia Forums, we found there are no jailbreakers who successfully jailbreak iOS 9.3.1 with TaiG. Our team downloaded the tools and spent a few days to modify it. It failed. The best we can do is to Semi Jailbreak iOS 9 or unthetered jailbreak for iOS 9.3.1. That’s the journey to jailbreak iOS 9.3.1 for now. You are welcome to leave a comment or two cents of words if you have just updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 9.3.1 and would like to jailbreak it.
